Working at d-fine
There are many attractions to working at d-fine: from the prospect of postings in the UK, Continental Europe and even South-East Asia to the diversity of work which our employees are involved with. Perhaps the most attractive aspect is the chance one has to take responsibility early in one's career. Entry-level employees start out as Consultants and work on the details of complex technical tasks. One's first promotion occurs when it is clear that expertise in a range of technical matters has been gained. Then, as a Senior Consultant, one has the chance to lead a project team. Having had experience of a range of projects one then moves, at the level of Manager and Partner, onto commercial challenges and gradually takes on responsibility for the firm as a whole.
At any level, you will have the opportunity to tackle the varied challenges posed by projects of a range of sizes: from small projects in which two or three consultants work closely with the client's specialists to solve specific problems within a limited timeframe, to major projects where ten or more members of a project team spend one or two years establishing complex infrastructures for clients whose operations span the globe.
Besides the broad range of business and technical issues that have to be tackled, our employees are also expected to work with client contacts from a range of fields and cultures, as well as to help organize and manage large project teams. Whether you are helping an industrial company to set up a global treasury system or advising a financial services provider as to how best to adapt its rating procedure to meet regulatory requirements, you will, over time, build up a unique wealth of experience. The exposure one obtains to technical areas, to project management methods and to the way business is conducted in different countries would otherwise be very difficult to acquire in such a short space of time.
